In response to customer demand for U.S.-based manufacturing, TSMC is expediting the construction of its second plant (P2) in Arizona. This facility, outfitted with a cutting-edge 3nm process, was originally slated to begin construction in April 2025. However, the overall progress is now ahead of schedule. Equipment installation is anticipated to commence in the third quarter of 2026, with a goal of bringing the plant online in 2027. This ambitious timeline signifies a reduction in the construction cycle for the wafer fab to approximately two years. TSMC remains steadfast in its commitment to advancing this project to meet the evolving needs of its customers.
