The research team headed by Associate Professor Zheng Jiaxin at Tsinghua University's Shenzhen Graduate School of New Materials, in partnership with Shenzhen Egen Technology, has triumphantly developed Hylanemos, a DFT calculation software with independent intellectual property rights. Built upon the high-performance Julia language, this software ensures complete autonomy and control, spanning from algorithms to code, thereby eliminating dependence on foreign software and fortifying the security of innovations in new materials, new energy, and beyond. As the pioneering domestically produced DFT software to attain engineering application status, Hylanemos signifies a significant leap from 'following and imitating' to 'independent innovation' within the realm of computational materials science in China.
