The three major US stock indices concluded the trading day with varied performances. The Nasdaq Composite Index declined by 0.51%, the S&P 500 Index dipped slightly by 0.22%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average edged up by 0.08%.
Among the leading technology stocks, Google spearheaded the decline with a drop of almost 4%, while Meta, Intel, Amazon, and Nvidia all saw declines exceeding 1%. Conversely, Apple was the sole gainer, rising by over 2%.
Chinese stocks listed on US exchanges also exhibited mixed results, with the Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index falling slightly by 0.92%. Futu Holdings tumbled by more than 6%, whereas Fangdd Network Group surged by over 3%.
In other notable movements, shares of biotech firm Capricor Therapeutics Inc. plummeted by more than 30%, whereas Kroger Co.'s shares soared by nearly 10%.
