The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) has unveiled guidelines aimed at fostering a growth tier within the Science and Technology Innovation Board (STAR Market). These measures are designed to bolster institutional inclusivity and enhance the harmonious integration of investment and financing functions. Key among these initiatives is the diversification of STAR Market indices and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), which will now be incorporated into the allocation framework of fund investment advisory services. This step is expected to facilitate the pooling of medium- and long-term funds. Additionally, the CSRC is committed to exploring and introducing more ETF options and futures options, thereby providing robust risk management tools tailored to medium- and long-term funds.
