Hubei Donghu Laboratory recently showcased its independently developed "One-Kilometer High-Speed Maglev Test Line" to the public for the first time. The electromagnetic-powered test vehicle, weighing 1,030 kilograms, achieved an impressive top speed of 650 kilometers per hour, establishing a new world record for this category of platforms. The vehicle accelerated from a complete stop to this maximum velocity in a mere 7.1 seconds, experiencing a peak acceleration exceeding 8Gs. The construction of this test line is anticipated to be finalized by the end of the year, transforming it into an accessible and collaborative experimental platform for diverse testing endeavors, thereby paving the way for the practical implementation of this cutting-edge technology.
