Researchers from the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with scientists from the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, have unveiled the world's fastest Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG). This groundbreaking device surpasses its predecessors by nearly a thousandfold in speed. At its core lies a miniature LED, capable of producing an astonishing 9.375 gigabits of random numbers per second. The QRNG's performance has been officially certified by the National Institute of Standards and Technology of the United States. This achievement promises to usher in transformative advancements in data security across various sectors, including healthcare, finance, and defense.
