MIIT Reports 68% Year-on-Year Growth in China's Lithium Battery Production from January to April

According to the latest statistics released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), China's lithium-ion battery industry maintained robust growth from January to April 2025, achieving a total production output exceeding 473GWh, marking a 68% increase year-on-year. Specifically, the production of energy storage lithium batteries surpassed 110GWh, while the installed capacity of power lithium batteries for new energy vehicles reached approximately 184GWh. Furthermore, the total export value of lithium batteries amounted to 155.4 billion yuan, a 25% year-on-year rise, signaling a robust international demand for China's lithium battery products.
