Samsung's groundbreaking Exynos 2600 has transitioned into the prototype mass production phase, leveraging advanced 2nm process technology and Gate-All-Around (GAA) transistor architecture. The company is diligently working to elevate chip yield from its current 30% to a more favorable 70%, paving the way for official mass production. This sophisticated chip, anticipated to boast 10 CPU cores, could commence large-scale manufacturing by the year's end or early 2024, timed to coincide with the launch of the Galaxy S26 series in February 2024. Market segmentation will determine which variants receive the Exynos 2600; the S26 and S26+ may sport Samsung's chip, while the US, Canada, China, and the premium S26 Ultra are expected to employ Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, fabricated using TSMC's 3nm process.
