Morning Commentary on Hong Kong Stocks: Three Major Indexes Open Higher, Hang Seng Tech Index Up 0.22%

Hong Kong stocks commenced trading on a positive note, with the Hang Seng Index edging up 0.12% to 24,191.32 points, the State-owned Enterprises Index climbing 0.21% to 8,786.16 points, and the Hang Seng Tech Index advancing 0.22% to 5,403.96 points. Among individual stocks, NIO Inc. shone brightly with gains of nearly 3%, while Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. and NetEase Inc. also registered gains exceeding 1%. Conversely, Li Auto Inc. and Hua Hong Semiconductor Ltd. slipped by more than 1%. Notably, the biopharmaceutical sector emerged as a standout performer, with GenScript Biotech Corp. and Zai Lab Inc. leading the charge with significant gains.
