The State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) has recently promulgated the "Measures to Support the Development of Metrology Industrial Parks," outlining nine strategic initiatives designed to propel the construction of these parks. These measures encompass a broad spectrum, from streamlining administrative approval processes to augmenting the availability of technical resources. Key among them are encouraging applications for national-level evaluation laboratories, delegating the approval authority for secondary reference materials to provincial market supervision authorities, and piloting reforms that integrate inspection and verification processes for manufacturers of water meters and gas meters. These steps collectively aim to foster a conducive environment for the growth and prosperity of the metrology industry.
