Brazilian hardware enthusiast Paulo Gomes and his team have once again showcased their incredible prowess by successfully transforming a GTX 970 graphics card into a GTX 980 equivalent. Not only did they previously upgrade the VRAM of the GTX 970 from 4GB (or 3.5GB) to 8GB, but this latest modification retains the enhanced 8GB VRAM while also achieving a monumental leap in GPU performance by replacing the chip with the more powerful GTX 980 core. The result is a stunning 2.7 times increase in performance.
