A foreign netizen has reported an unusual incident where they purchased an RTX 5090 GPU package from Micro Center in Santa Clara, USA, only to find no GPU inside upon opening. Instead, the package contained a few backpacks. The netizen confirmed that the package appeared intact and felt heavy, leading to the shocking discovery upon opening. Micro Center promptly replaced the GPU for this customer and acknowledged that at least 31 other individuals had experienced the same issue, all involving ZOTAC's RTX 5090 GAMING model. Micro Center is currently investigating the matter and speculates that the error occurred during packaging at ZOTAC's China factory before shipment. ZOTAC has also expressed interest in further communicating with the affected netizen.
