The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) and the General Office of the State Council (GOS) have jointly issued a document outlining their commitment to gradually expand the scope of the national carbon emissions trading market. Aligned with the goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, they plan to enhance the market by increasing the number of trading entities and varieties, refining the voluntary emissions reduction trading market, and reinforcing the integration with the green certificate market to avoid duplicate benefits. Furthermore, they will facilitate the alignment and mutual recognition of domestic and international carbon emissions trading mechanisms.
