A technology firm based in Guangzhou recently fell victim to a cyber attack originating from abroad. Following an investigation by the public security organization, it has been established that the attack was perpetrated by hacker groups associated with the authorities of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) in Taiwan, China. In recent years, these groups have repeatedly engaged in large-scale asset reconnaissance and attacks on critical network systems across multiple provinces on the mainland. Despite employing relatively unsophisticated technical means, the scope of their attacks is broad, and the frequency of these incidents is on the rise. Through rigorous technical analysis and tracing efforts, law enforcement officials have successfully uncovered the trail of their criminal activities. Despite attempts to obfuscate their origin by utilizing IP addresses from various countries, the hacker group has been unable to evade detection.
