On May 26, Xiaomi published the second episode of its 15th-anniversary product Q&A series on its official WeChat account. Addressing the widespread internet rumor that the Xuanjie O1 is a chip customized by Arm, Xiaomi unequivocally denied the claim, stating it is purely a rumor. The Xuanjie O1 is a 3nm flagship SoC independently developed by Xiaomi's Xuanjie team over a span of more than four years. While leveraging Arm's latest CPU and GPU standard IP licensing, the team autonomously handled the multi-core and memory access system-level design, as well as the backend physical implementation, without relying on Arm's CSS services or complete solutions. Thus, the assertion that the "chip was customized from Arm" is entirely inaccurate.
