Xiaomi has introduced its groundbreaking self-developed system-on-chip (SoC) for mobile phones, the Xuanjie O1. This state-of-the-art chip leverages a second-generation 3nm process and boasts a powerful deca-core, quad-cluster CPU architecture. Addressing concerns about whether the Xuanjie O1 is built upon the Arm CSS for Client platform, Zhu Dan, Xiaomi's Vice President, clarified that while the chip employs Arm IP soft core licensing, the intricate system-level design of its CPU, GPU multi-core configuration, and memory access mechanisms are entirely Xiaomi's own work. Furthermore, the backend design was also developed in-house, ensuring that the Xuanjie O1 does not rely on Arm CSS soft or hard core solutions. This revelation underscores Xiaomi's deep technological prowess and innovative spirit within the chip industry.
