Samsung Electronics intends to establish a new 1c DRAM mass production line at its Hwaseong and Pyeongtaek facilities, with the investment projected to conclude by the year's end. Specifically, the Hwaseong plant will incorporate an additional 1c DRAM production line, further augmenting the 1b DRAM conversion investments already made at Hwaseong Lines 15 and 16. The Pyeongtaek factory, on the other hand, has already established a 1c DRAM mass production line with a planned monthly capacity of 30,000 wafers. As the cornerstone of HBM4, Samsung is actively scaling up 1c DRAM production to enhance output volumes.
