Zhang Ming, Deputy General Manager of the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE), announced that the exchange is proactively advancing the listing of green and low-carbon recycled metal futures and options, including cast aluminum alloy, in order to better cater to the risk management and green development requirements of the aluminum industry chain. Notably, in 2023, SHFE had already pioneered the launch of the world's first physically delivered alumina futures contract.
