Samsung's Exynos 2500 chip, initially intended for the Galaxy S25 series, encountered production yield challenges, prompting Samsung to opt for the Snapdragon 8 Elite instead. However, it now appears that the yield issues with the Exynos 2500 have been resolved, and Samsung has confirmed that the chip will make its debut in the latest foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Flip7. Leveraging Samsung's proprietary CPU architecture and second-generation 3nm process technology, the Exynos 2500 strikes a balance between high performance and low power consumption. It boasts a 10-core CPU cluster and a GPU built on AMD's RDNA 3.5 architecture. Depending on the region, the Galaxy Z Flip7 equipped with the Exynos 2500 will adopt different chip solutions. For instance, markets like India and South Korea will be among the first to receive the Exynos 2500 version, while China and North America may continue to utilize the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform due to strategic supply chain considerations.
