Innosilicon, a leading Chinese semiconductor firm specializing in third-generation technologies, has achieved a significant milestone in its patent infringement lawsuit against Infineon, a global chip giant. The Supreme People's Court has issued a definitive ruling, dismissing the appeals lodged by Infineon China and its Wuxi subsidiary challenging the jurisdiction of the case. This decision upholds the jurisdiction of the Suzhou Intermediate People's Court in handling the matter.

Previously, Innosilicon (Suzhou) Technology and its wholly-owned subsidiary had filed a lawsuit accusing Infineon China, Infineon Wuxi, and Xinwoke of patent infringement. Infineon contested the jurisdiction of the Suzhou Intermediate People's Court, but their initial objection was rejected by the court. Subsequently, Infineon appealed to the Supreme People's Court, which has now upheld the original ruling.
