For the first time, Chinese scientists have proposed and successfully verified a synthetic aperture technology leveraging active optical intensity interferometry. This groundbreaking advancement enables the capture of high-resolution images of millimeter-scale targets from a distance of 1.36 kilometers, achieving an imaging resolution that is 14 times superior to that of a single telescope.
