Infineon has announced that it will discontinue production of its automotive-grade smart high-side switches, BTS50085 and BTS50055, utilized in vehicle electrical distribution systems, as well as its smart low-side switches, BSP75N and BTS117TC, effective June 30, 2025. This development has already triggered warnings regarding inventory levels in relevant supply channels. Amid concerns over supply chain security and cost management, domestic companies such as Yacheng Microelectronics are gaining momentum, reshaping the competitive dynamics within the global automotive chip industry. As a pioneering domestic enterprise in smart high and low-side switch chip technology, Yacheng Microelectronics has successfully developed precise alternatives to the Infineon models being phased out and has achieved mass production status.
