In response to this ongoing issue, several retailers in Japan have recently imposed restrictions on selling these graphics cards to tourists. A post by a Xiaohongshu blogger revealed that a computer store in Osaka, amidst chaos sparked by tourists rushing to purchase the RTX 5090/5080, decided to halt sales of these cards to tourists and will now exclusively sell them to customers who intend to use them within Japan.
