Shanghai Telecom and Huawei have emerged victorious at the Guanghua Cup competition, securing the top prize with their groundbreaking project titled "Crafting a Digital and Intelligent Lifestyle Through 50G PON 10G Optical Network." Leveraging cutting-edge 50G PON+FTTR technology, this project facilitates 10G access, catering to both residential and corporate needs. Already piloted in Pudong and showcased in demonstration neighborhoods, it delivers a suite of advanced services, including multi-channel 8K video streaming and immersive naked-eye 3D live broadcasts. Network efficiency has soared by over tenfold, marking a significant leap from gigabit to 10G capabilities for optical networks.
