Samsung, Micron, and SK Hynix have all revealed their intentions to scale back the production of DDR4 memory. Notably, Samsung has ceased the manufacturing of 1y and 1z nanometer 8GB DDR4 chips since April. Similarly, Micron will discontinue the supply of DDR4 memory modules specifically designed for servers. SK Hynix, on the other hand, plans to reduce its share of DDR4 production to just 20%.
