According to The Press Trust of India, a team comprising 30 scientists from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has presented a proposal to the government, aiming to pioneer the development of 'Angstrom-Scale' chips. These chips are envisioned to be dramatically smaller than the current smallest ones available. The proposal emphasizes leveraging two-dimensional material technology to shrink chip dimensions to one-tenth of their current minimum size, specifically below 1nm, with the objective of reinforcing India's stance in the semiconductor industry.
