On April 21, the inaugural China-GCC Forum on Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Technology convened in Chengdu, graciously hosted by China's National Atomic Energy Authority (CNEA). Among the distinguished attendees was Shan Zhongde, Director of CNEA. During the forum, a pivotal moment occurred when CNEA and the Saudi Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cooperation in Nuclear Safety and Security for Nuclear Energy Development. This agreement aims to fortify cooperation in the crucial areas of nuclear safety, nuclear security, nuclear non-proliferation, and nuclear emergency preparedness through various means, including organizing scientific missions, training programs, technical exchanges, and the establishment of joint working groups.
