The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) of the United States has certified that Longi Green Energy's proprietary crystalline silicon-perovskite tandem solar cell has achieved a remarkable conversion efficiency of 34.85%, establishing a new world record for this type of solar cell. As the leading technology for the next generation of ultra-high-efficiency solar cells, the theoretical limit efficiency of crystalline silicon-perovskite tandem cells stands at an impressive 43%. Previously, Longi Green Energy's tandem solar cell team had already pushed the efficiency boundaries to 33.9% in November 2023 and further to 34.6% in June 2024. This latest advancement underscores Longi Green Energy's unwavering commitment to innovation in photovoltaic battery technology.
