On April 18, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of the State Council convened a video conference, underscoring the importance of invigorating reforms and innovations to expedite the translation of scientific and technological achievements into tangible productive forces. The conference mandated state-owned enterprises (SOEs) to proactively engage in significant national science and technology projects, prioritizing the breakthrough of "bottleneck" technologies and key core technologies. It also urged them to foster extensive demonstrations of new technologies, products, and scenarios, enhance the quality of industrial development, and catalyze the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries. Specific initiatives include executing industrial renewal programs and future industry launch initiatives, alongside deepening reforms within SOEs. Additionally, the conference emphasized the necessity of targeting key sectors, reinforcing risk prevention and control mechanisms, and establishing a comprehensive regulatory framework to ensure robust risk management. Furthermore, SOEs must resolutely implement national strategic directives and macroeconomic regulatory measures, guarantee the security of staple products and the seamless flow of logistics, and elevate the quality and value realization capabilities of listed companies, thereby underpinning the stable operation of the economy and society.
