Xie Cun, Director of the Department of Information and Communication Development at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), announced that the Ministry will actively foster innovative applications in emerging sectors such as marine industries and low-altitude equipment, while enhancing the openness of the telecommunications industry to international markets. Among the specific initiatives, MIIT plans to methodically advance the first batch of pilot projects for the liberalization of value-added telecommunications services. Additionally, the Ministry is committed to exploring and promptly expanding the scope of openness, with the aim of attracting a greater number of qualified foreign-invested enterprises to invest in and operate telecommunications businesses within China.
