ABB Expands U.S. Local Production to Combat Tariff Effects

Morten Wierod, the Chief Executive Officer of Swiss engineering giant ABB, announced on Thursday that the company is bolstering local production in the United States and other countries to counteract the effects of tariffs imposed by President Trump. Wierod disclosed to Reuters that ABB has already invested $120 million this year to enhance low-voltage electrical equipment production at its factories in Tennessee and Mississippi, with further investment plans in the pipeline.
