On February 5, the General Offices of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and the Guangdong Provincial People's Government jointly unveiled the 2025 Action Plan for the Construction of a Modern Industrial System in Guangdong Province. This plan underscores the urgency to expedite the construction and capacity expansion of key integrated circuit (IC) projects, including CR Micro, Founder Micro, Guangdong Micro, and Zenith Micro. The objective is to rectify deficiencies in areas such as IC manufacturing, advanced packaging, and testing. Additionally, Guangdong intends to vigorously cultivate related materials and equipment industries, with ambitions to establish an optical chip industry innovation platform, thereby aiming to forge the 'third pole' of the national IC industry.
