China has reignited its antitrust investigations into Google and NVIDIA, with Intel now also under consideration for a fresh probe. According to the Financial Times, on February 4, 2025, China's State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) is contemplating utilizing these investigations as strategic bargaining tools in negotiations with U.S. President Trump. Prior to this, both Google and NVIDIA had already faced scrutiny for alleged breaches of the Anti-Monopoly Law of the People's Republic of China, while Intel looms under the threat of potential investigation. This action is perceived as a countermeasure amid escalating geopolitical tensions between China and the United States.
