The National Energy Administration has proclaimed that China's combined oil and gas production surpassed 400 million tons of oil equivalent for the inaugural time in 2024. This milestone was achieved with crude oil production reaching 213 million tons and natural gas production climbing to 246.4 billion cubic meters. Looking ahead to 2025, the Administration aims to maintain crude oil production at a stable level exceeding 200 million tons and foster a continuous rise in natural gas production, thereby ensuring the national security of oil and gas supplies.
