The monumental electrochemical energy storage project in Bisha Castle, located in southern Saudi Arabia, has been officially commissioned. Designed by China's Power Construction Corporation, the initial phase of this groundbreaking initiative boasts a remarkable capacity of 500 MW/2,000 MWh. This project innovatively employs a prefabricated cabin design, incorporating 122 energy storage units, alongside a PCS converter, booster system, and lithium iron phosphate batteries. Its objectives are to elevate energy efficiency, foster the integration of renewable energy sources, bolster new energy generation, and significantly contribute to Saudi Arabia's energy transformation and sustainable development endeavors.
