Masdar, a leading energy company based in the United Arab Emirates, has announced that Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) has been selected as the preferred supplier of battery energy storage systems for its Revolutionary Technology Complex (RTC). This ambitious project stands as the world's largest integrated solar and battery energy storage initiative, boasting a total investment exceeding $6 billion. The RTC comprises a formidable 19 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of battery storage capacity alongside 5.2 gigawatts (GW) of photovoltaic power generation capacity.

CATL will equip the RTC with its renowned Tianheng battery energy storage system, celebrated for its unparalleled safety features, exceptional longevity, and highly advanced integration technology. This solution is ideally suited to address the comprehensive requirements of the RTC project, underscoring CATL's commitment to delivering cutting-edge energy storage solutions on a global scale.
