Tests conducted by Tomshardware have revealed that Intel's attempts to boost the performance of its Core Ultra 200S series processors, codenamed Arrow Lake-S, have fallen short of expectations, particularly in gaming and productivity scenarios. Upon the launch of the Core Ultra 200S series, initial evaluations highlighted a notable gap between real-world performance and Intel's internal benchmarks, with gaming performance proving especially underwhelming for gamers. Despite Intel's subsequent rollout of a series of corrective measures via Windows and BIOS updates, Tomshardware's latest reviews indicate that these fixes have failed to significantly address the gaming performance issues. In fact, the gaming benchmarks for the updated Core Ultra 9-285K processor showed a slight decline, whereas the gaming performance of the previous-generation Raptor Lake Refresh processors improved following the operating system update.
