The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of TSMC disclosed that the company's revenue for the fourth quarter of 2024 witnessed a 14.3% increase compared to the previous quarter. This growth was primarily fueled by robust demand for advanced technologies, particularly three-nanometer and five-nanometer processes. Specifically, three-nanometer technology contributed 26% to the fourth quarter's wafer revenue, while five-nanometer and seven-nanometer technologies accounted for 34% and 14% respectively. Despite the anticipated seasonal slowdown in the first quarter, primarily influenced by smartphone market trends, the CFO emphasized that the continuous surge in demand related to AI applications will partially mitigate this effect.
