Microsoft's most recent Office update has led to frequent crashes of classic Outlook and Microsoft 365 applications shortly after launch on Windows Server 2016 and 2019 systems. The company has acknowledged that this issue is rooted in the React Native framework integrated within the update, particularly impacting version 2412. As a prompt response, Microsoft has already rolled back to the unaffected version 2411 on Windows Server 2016 and has supplied users with manual rollback instructions to resolve the problem. Furthermore, Microsoft is actively developing a fix for Windows Server 2019 and advises users to disable the Office automatic update feature to prevent further crashes.
