AMD's latest laptop Ryzen AI processors, codenamed Strix Halo, employ a groundbreaking parallel 'Line Ocean' interconnect system to integrate their chipsets. This innovation marks a departure from the conventional SERDES (Serializer/Deserializer) method employed in desktop Ryzen models. The Strix Halo processors boast a 120W TDP and support for 64GB of memory, encapsulated in a multi-chip package that comprises two Zen 5 CCDs and one GCD. These components communicate seamlessly through advanced interconnect technology. Additionally, the series features up to 16 Zen 5 cores, 64MB of L3 cache, and an NPU capable of delivering 70TOPS. The GPU section leverages the RDNA 3.5 architecture to ensure robust performance across various applications.
