Samsung Display, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, has announced its plans to commence mass production of rollable OLED laptop screens in April. This groundbreaking technology has already found its application in Lenovo's ThinkBook Plus G6, the pioneering laptop with a rollable screen, which made its debut at CES 2025. The innovative display enables users to extend the laptop screen from 14 inches to 16.7 inches, offering increased screen real estate. When not in use, half of the screen can be neatly rolled up under the keyboard, significantly enhancing portability and space-saving capabilities. Furthermore, the new display boasts a slimmer profile and improved energy efficiency, thanks to advanced thin-film technology.
