The team led by Yang Jiamiao from the School of Automation and Intelligent Sensing at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, in collaboration with the National Key Laboratory of Dynamic Optical Imaging and Measurement, has made significant progress in the field of disturbance-resistant high-precision laser interferometry. The research proposes "Disturbance-Introduced Interferometry" and develops a natural phase decoding algorithm that adapts to large disturbances, substantially enhancing the disturbance resistance of interferometric measurement and enabling nanoscale surface topography measurement that is both vibration-resistant and free from precise phase-shifting control. The related findings were published under the title "Disturbance-Introduced Interferometry: Surface Topography Metrology Beyond Vibration Isolation and Phase-Shifting Control."
