Beijing Xinjing Shengsheng Zhilian Technology Co., Ltd. has reached a major breakthrough milestone with its 8.5-generation electrochromic thin-film production line, which has completed acceptance and rolled off its first piece of equipment. This marks a significant advance in China's core equipment for large-area continuous magnetron sputtering coating and fills a critical gap in the upstream segment of the industrial chain. Such high-end coating equipment had long depended on imports. After eight years of research and development, Xinjing Shengsheng's self-developed equipment is capable of continuous preparation of multilayer thin films on ultra-large substrates, with film thickness uniformity controlled within 2%. The equipment will subsequently be shipped to partner enterprises for process validation, supporting the industrialization of all-solid-state electrochromic thin films. Electrochromic thin films can reversibly adjust optical states through applied voltage, with applications spanning building energy conservation, transportation dimming, integrated circuits, optoelectronic devices, and AR/VR fields. The integrated circuit sector in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area has formed a complete industrial chain, with industrial output reaching 166.7 billion yuan from January to September this year, a year-on-year increase of 100%.
