On November 4, the Carbon Fiber Sales Center of Jilin Chemical Fiber issued a price adjustment notice, announcing a 3,000 yuan-per-ton increase in its carbon fiber product prices, effective immediately, citing persistently high upstream raw material costs. This marks the company's third price adjustment in 2026, following earlier increases at the beginning of the year and in March. Rising upstream acrylonitrile prices have continued to pass cost pressure downstream, pushing China's carbon fiber industry into a sustained price increase cycle. Meanwhile, the rapid emergence of fields such as commercial aerospace, the low-altitude economy, and humanoid robots is creating new incremental demand for carbon fiber.
