Major A-share indices advanced across the board, with the ChiNext Index and STAR 50 each gaining more than 2%, the Shanghai Composite Index rising 0.75%, and the Shenzhen Component Index up 1.74%. Sectors including precious metals, photovoltaics, lithium batteries, semiconductor chips, and pharmaceuticals and biotechnology led the rally, as nearly 3,400 stocks closed higher across the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets.
