A research report by CSC highlights that power semiconductors have entered a wave of price increases since 2026, driven by both the explosive growth of AIDC (Artificial Intelligence Data Centers) and incremental demand from new energy vehicles. On the technology front, third-generation power semiconductor devices, represented by SiC, are highly compatible with the high-voltage DC trend in AIDC. Their penetration rates continue to rise across multiple applications such as SST, HVDC, and solid-state circuit breakers, with even more significant incremental growth. Calculations indicate that, driven by the explosive growth of AIDC and technological iteration, incremental demand for SiC power devices is expected to reach tens of billions by 2030, with upstream and downstream sectors poised to benefit in tandem.
