November 2 News: China's first intelligent production line for hydrogen energy sealing materials recently began trial operation in Huantai County, Zibo, Shandong. Hydrogen molecules are extremely small and highly prone to permeation; poor sealing can lead to leaks and even safety accidents, which is why sealing gaskets are known as the "invisible safety valve" of hydrogen energy equipment. Previously, such high-end sealing materials relied on imports for a long time, and manual material spreading resulted in uneven precision and made batch consistency difficult to ensure. A local new materials company spent three years on research and development, achieving breakthroughs in both material formulation and production processes, and realizing full domestic substitution of core products. The new production line replaces manual operations with automated processes, solving the industry's chronic problem of inconsistent product quality. Its hydrogen energy sealing gaskets feature high resilience and low creep, and are used in electrolyzers for hydrogen production via water electrolysis, with a service life of up to 10 years.
