Intel management said on the Q3 2026 earnings call on Thursday, U.S. Eastern Time, that the data center business was the core driver of Q3 growth and that server CPUs are in short supply. CFO David Zinsner said the factory network and external suppliers supported higher server CPU output. Based on the current outlook, DCAI full-year revenue is expected to come in nearly $10 billion higher than the expectation at the beginning of the year. Management expects the industry to remain supply-constrained in 2027 and 2028, with server CPU shipments growing by more than 30% in both 2026 and 2027—and growth would be even higher if supply were more abundant.
