SanDisk Chairman and CEO David Goeckeler said on the company's fiscal 2027 first-quarter earnings call that customers have generally underestimated the NAND flash capacity required to run infrastructure. Existing customers are placing additional orders, new customers continue to come on board, and the company's supply pipeline remains strong, with visibility extending through 2030 and beyond. Currently, about 50% of SanDisk's fiscal 2027 capacity has been locked up by New Business Model (NBM) projects, and that figure is expected to rise to roughly two-thirds in 2028. Management expects the NBM project pipeline to exceed the company's available supply by the end of this decade.
