According to a report by Dong-A Ilbo citing anonymous investment banking sources, SK Hynix plans to return approximately 80% of the proceeds from the sale of some of its core stakes in Japan's Kioxia to shareholders in the form of special dividends amounting to around KRW 16 trillion. This dividend plan is expected to be announced on October 28 when the third-quarter financial results are released. It is estimated that SK Hynix's disposal of Kioxia-related investments in the first and second quarters of this year resulted in gains of approximately KRW 20 trillion after deducting the initial investment.
